The Hatred in Politics

Monday, October 22nd, 2012

We’re yet again another election year and as always and as is custom now we are going through a large line of political slander campaigns. To me this is not what politics should be about. You should describe what you’re going to be bringing to the table that the other candidate does not offer.  It should not be about focusing on what the other candidate has said or done.

Unfortunately, this kind of campaign is what makes for an effective campaign nowadays. People are so drawn into the drama and get caught up on everyone else’s slander. Politics is no longer become a game of policies and laws. It is now just a popularity contest between rich people who are just trying to become more wealthy from their financial backers and personal interests.

These kind of campaigns and movements further pull people apart as well as distracts individuals for a candidate’s faults.  If all candidates were simply forced to put what issues and stances they agreed with and those they disagreed with then you may find out that no candidate would be who you want.  Voting, in my opinion, is a decision between the lesser of two evils.

I’m really glad that I don’t have cable and don’t want to let the TV so I don’t have to deal with all the political advertisements that are currently on television. I’ve seen a few of these while watching over the air TV and they honestly have sickened me.  Making one candidate look evil compared to another.

Basically that’s another one of the reasons why I want all of this planet.

Obama and Nobel Peace Prize

Friday, October 9th, 2009

I’m another person that doesn’t understand exactly why Obama won the Nobel peace prize; is it for all those self help books he’s written or something?

Or was it that winning the presidancy of the United States as a partial black man was enough to show that he’s done more to bring Peace to the world than anyone else currently?

I have no problem with him winning any awards for bringing peace into the world, but at least have him actually do something before just handing him awards.
